Tampa Bay LB Casillas to Premiere “POV 52” Radio Show with Host Randy Harris
Following week 1 of the 2014 NFL season, Tampa Bay Buccaneers starting linebacker Jonathan Casillas will premiere his new radio show, the “JCPOV 52 Show.” The show, which will premiere on September 8, will be airing bi-weekly, will be alongside longtime Tampa Bay sports radio host Randy Harris.
Casillas, who was originally drafted in the NFL by the New Orleans Saints, played a valuable role for their defense where he ultimately contributed to the franchise’s first Super Bowl victory. Casillas later signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2013 and is expected to play a pivotal role this season for new head coach Lovie Smith’s defense first philosophy. Casillas, who is a leader on and off the field also dedicates much of his time interacting with the community and participating in charitable events.
The JCPOV 52 Show will cover a variety of topics which include sports, current affairs, and local event happenings. Local fans are invited to be a part of the inaugural show, which will take place on September 8th at 7 pm est at the Press Box Sports Emporium located on 222 S. Dale Mabry Hwy. Fans will have the chance to not only see Casillas in person, but also interact with him and surprise athlete guests by asking questions where they will be answered live. The JCPOV 52 Show will offer creative insight into a variety of topics from the unique perspective of a NFL athlete.
“I’m really excited to not only share my thoughts and opinions regarding a variety of topics, but more importantly to interact with fans and provide them with quality sports radio,” said Casillas. “It’ll be fun… I promise.”
In accordance with the premiere of his new radio show, Casillas will also be releasing his own personal clothing line, POV52 which is available through the online vendor athlete originals. “The concept behind the idea of “POV 52” is to live life how you want to see it, said Casillas.” “My whole outlook on life is to live life how you want to live it, not what others dictate about you.”
Casillas also plans to choose a local charity of the month in which he will help to raise awareness through his show as well as raise support through different giveaways and interactions. The month of September will be raising support for Kids Charity of Tampa Bay.
