Recognized as two of the best safeties in the NFL, Seattle Seahawks Kam Chancellor and San Francisco 49er’s Safety Antoine Bethea hail from the Hampton Roads area in Virginia. Both founders of youth-focused nonprofits, the two NFC Western Division rivals are powerhouse players who share a passion for the game and a commitment to community service—especially in their hometown.
As the football season wraps up, Kam and Antoine have teamed up to boost donations for their foundations in the coming months. Here’s your chance to support your favorite NFC player and their charity of choice!

Safe Coverage Foundation
Bethea, a two-time Pro Bowl Safety and 2014 Team MVP, founded the Safe Coverage Foundation to provide access to resources for students to achieve their dreams of higher education.
Founded in 2010, Safe Coverage provides exposure opportunities, enrichment experiences and the tools essential for success. The foundation has served several cities including, Indianapolis, Indiana, Newport News, Virginia and Washington, DC. Safe Coverage sponsors college tours, provides laptop and iPads for students pursuing higher education, and hosts football camps for children ages 8-15.
Chancellor, a three-time Pro Bowl Safety and 2014 Super Bowl Champion, is known for delivering hard hits on the field and in the community through his foundation Kam Cares.
Founded in 2012, the Kam Cares Foundation’s mission is to equip children from underserved communities with educational tools and resources to provide them with a fair opportunity to succeed in school. Kam Cares Foundation hosts an annual Back-to-School Supplies Drive and Christmas Toy Drive in Norfolk, Va. and Seattle, Wash. The foundation also supports and acknowledges the academic achievements of students through its eLearning Program, which provides technology devices—such as iPads — to deserving students.
